This past weekend, fellow composer—Jamison Stevens—and I had the wonderful opportunity of hearing one of our works premiered at the beautiful Cathedral Church of St. Luke in Orlando, Florida.
Originally for solo voice, flute, and piano, Jamison had written A Dedication of Faith in honor of the confirmation of Thomas Melton II at Trinity Episcopal Church in Redlands. After Thomas moved to Orlando and began working as a musician at St. Luke's, he asked if Jamison had a choral version that the church could sing. Jamison asked me to arrange the piece for choir, and the rest—as they say—is history.
You can view the livestream of the service here; A Dedication of Faith begins at about 1:06:30.

A huge thank you to the choir of St. Luke's, Ann Diaz, and music director Michael Petrosh for rehearsing and performing the piece, and to Jamison Stevens for asking me to arrange it. An especially sincere thank you to Thomas for making it all happen, and for conducting the piece.
